openhpid software package provides OpenHPI daemon, supports gathering of manageability information, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install openhpid
openhpid is installed in your system.
Make ensure the openhpid package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep openhpid *
You will get with openhpid package name, version, architecture and description in a table
